Gisella's School

The country of France was originally known as Gaul. Many tribes lived in this country, and the largest of them was the Franks. The Franks liked to keep to themselves, but they were not big fans of the Romans. Clovis was a young 15 year old when he became king of Gaul. He did not like how the Empire owned his country. He started making moves on the Romans, but they did not take him seriously, and Clovis won the Battle of Soissons, regaining most of Gaul. When he was some years older he married a woman named Clotilde who wanted him to be a Christian just like her. At first he refused, but while at the last battle he was losing he did not think he was going to make it, he surrendered his life to Christianity and won.
