The Peloponnesian wars were a series of wars between Athens and Sparta in Greece. This led to the decline of Greece, and the rise of Persia. Athens at first had the upper hand, but later Sparta was the winner of the last war which made Athens collapse. Years later Persia led the whole Greek Empire down. The Peloponnesian wars were a very long set of wars so much so that it was divided into three parts. The Peloponnesian wars was what brought Greece down. Greece’s fall let a new empire, Persia, takeover.
